Pier Timmendorfer Strand

With its new pier, the municipality of Timmendorfer Strand has created a landmark that invites visitors to linger and offers a spectacular vantage point over the Baltic Sea. Yet the 427-meter-long pier is an eye-catcher not only by day; in the evening hours, it shines brightly thanks to a clean, functional lighting design.

The pier has been equipped with a lighting solution from InstaLighting that enhances orientation, safety, and the overall quality of the space. The installation features OGL4 in-ground luminaires and OHR1 handrail lights. The OGL4 units create a rhythmic pattern of light along the walkways, visually guiding visitors across the entire length of the pier. The arrangement of the OGL luminaires establishes a clear path of light, ensuring excellent orientation. Complementing this, the OHR1 handrail lighting provides uniform illumination of the edges, supporting safe use of the pier during the evening hours.

The lighting solution was precisely integrated into the bridge's structure, combining functionality with a maritime lighting effect. The result is a durable, low-maintenance lighting solution that reveals the character of the pier even after dark and creates a pleasant atmosphere.
