During the refurbishment of the light ceiling in the Rhein-Center in Cologne, the energy and maintenance costs were to be reduced by 90 percent. In addition, the existing glass and metal should be reused according to the cradle-to-cradle principle.
For the conversion of the ceiling lighting to LED, special solutions were developed and elements from the NoLimits modular lighting system were used. The light ceiling consists of six wide LED light strips in RGB and tunable white. In interaction with a holistic control concept, a striking lighting solution was created that emotionally charges the room and at the same time fulfills all functional requirements for the presentation of goods, security and orientation for customers.
